Virginia Gets Small Taste of Carnaval at VA Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Mixer, March 1st

(Richmond, Va.) Virginia will sample Latin America’s famous celebration of “Carnaval” (akin to Mardi Gras in the United States) after hours, 5:30pm until 7:30pm on March 1st at the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, hosted by the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “As we come together to network our businesses for growth, exposure and enhancement, we will also have the opportunity to become more culturally aware of an annual event which is celebrated throughout the Latino world – Carnaval – a celebration of life between Lent and Easter. During Carnaval, we learn more about ourselves and about accepting and understanding cultures,” said Rita Willis, Director of Membership and Events for the VAHCC. “Guests at our March Mixer will sample a small taste of Carnaval, Latino style.” Registration is available online at VAHCC.com and by calling the VAHCC at (804) 378-4099.
